cupsplenda, white granules

sticksunsalted butter, cold

pint as purchased, yieldsblueberries (frozen)

teaspoonssugar for coating

cupbuttermilk, lowfat
Steps
Sequence Step
1Mix flour, splenda, salt, baking soda and baking powder in mixer fit with paddle attachment until incorporated
2Add 1 and 1/2 sticks of unsalted butter cut into small cubes and continue mixing until small pieces are left
3Toss frozen blueberries in flour and slowly incorporate them into dry ingredients...do NOT overmix
4add 1 cup heavy cream or buttermilk all at once and continue mixing just until all items are starting to pull together into a ball...do not over mix
5Empty contents onto floured board or parchment paper and gently pat into a 14 X 14 square...will be about 1 inch thick
6Cut into 4 equal squares and cut square into four equal triangles
7Brush tops with heavy cream and sprinkle with 1/2 teaspoon of sanding sugar
8Bake at 20 minutes or until just lightly browned on tops
