cupApplesauce, canned, unsweetened, with added ascorbic acid
Steps
Sequence Step
1Preheat oven to 375. Grease muffin tin.
2In large bowl, stir together flours, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
3In another bowl, mix applesauce and sugar together; beat in eggs. Stir in banana, milk, and vanilla. Add dry ingredients and stir to combine; stir in walnuts.
4Spoon batter into greased muffin tin. Bake 25-30 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean (with applesauce the muffins will cook more quickly; keep an eye on them).
5Removed muffin tin from oven, cool 5 minutes before removing from cups. These muffins are awesome warm or completely cooled!
