Recipe Description This cake gets better, more moists and flavorful as it ages. It is perfect for picnics or pot luck dinners. Cut servings right out of the baking pan. Tips: this can be stored up to 2 days at room temperature and up to 2 weeks in the refrigerator

cupsall-purpose flour

teaspoonscinnamon, ground

teaspoonbaking soda

cup, choppedwalnut pieces,chopped

medium (2-3/4" dia) (approx 3 per lb)granny smith apples, peeled, cored and diced

tablespoons, unsiftedsugar, powdered
Steps
Sequence Step
1in a large bowl, beat toge4thr the4 eggs, ugar, oil and vanilla until smooth
2Blend together flour, cinnanmon and salt.
3Add flour mixture to egg mixture, blending well.
4Dissolve baking soda in water. Add to batter. Combine well.
5Add nuts and apples. Combine well. Batter will be very thick.
6Spoon batter into greased 9 by 13 inch baking pan.
7Bake at 350 degrees for about 55 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan.
8Dust with powdered sugar when completely cool. Garnish with apple wedges.
