1 | Grease and flour bundt or tube pan. |
2 | Preheat oven at 300 degrees. |
3 | Cream butter and sugar. |
4 | Add eggs, one at a time, until all are well blended. |
5 | Add flour slowly, mixing well. |
6 | Add lemon and vanilla extract. |
7 | Add chopped pecans. |
8 | Pour into prepared pan. |
9 | Bake at 300 degrees for 35 minutes. |
10 | Without opening oven, decrease oven temperature to 225 degrees and bake for 40 minutes longer. |
11 | Remove from oven when top springs back when lightly touched. |
12 | Cool for 10 minutes. |
13 | Remove from pan and cool completely. |
14 | Can glaze if desired. |
