1	pint as purchased, yields	strawberries
1/3	cup	sugar
3	teaspoons	vanilla extract

Steps

Sequence	Step

1	Cut about 1/3 of the Strawberries in half(take off green stems)
2	In a saucepan over medium heat, combine strawberries, sugar, and vanilla
3	Cook, stiring occasionally, until sauce thickens, about five minutes.
4	Remove form heat.
5	In a blender, Puree the sauce and about 1/3 of the remianing strawberrys.
6	Place in refrigerator and serve chilled. (can be severed hot as well)
