| 1 | Cover chopped vegetables with chicken broth. | 2 | Simmer until veggies are soft, about 10-12 minutes. | 3 | In separate pan, melt butter, add flour and stir to cook.Add milk and blend to form white sauce. | 4 | Add white sauce to big pot. | 5 | Stir in spices...parsley, paprika. (Add salt and pepper to taste, if desired...check for saltiness first) | 6 | Blend with immersion blender in pot, or remove to blender to process until smooth. | 7 | Add a few whole florets to pot for texture and cook another 20-30 minutes to desired thickness. |
