| 1 | Pre heat oven to 350. Butter and lightly flour 3-9" cake pans. Line bottom of pans with parchment rounds if desired. | 2 | Sift cake flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt together, set aside. | 4 | Add vanilla to buttermilk. (I also delete the vanilla and add 1 teaspoon or either orange or lemon oil same as candy oil for a different flavor) | 5 | Using 1/3 of dry ingredients, Alternately add dry ingredients and buttermilk, beginning and ending with flour. Beat until smooth (DO NOT OVERBEAT) Pour batter into pans and bake 20-25 minutes or until done. Cool in pans 10 minutes and turn out on cooling rack. |
