| 1 | saute: garlic, onion, shallot, pepper, zucchini until translucent and place in crock pot. | 2 | add broth to pot and turn on high. | 3 | add the rest of the ingredients. | 4 | add water or broth as desired and season to taste (bay leaves, salt, cayenne pepper, thyme, garlic powder, etc.) | 5 | cook on high for 1 hr. then reduce heat to low for remaining 30 minutes. serve hot. |
