1/3
cupwhite sugar
1/4
cupapplesauce, unsweetened
1/2
cupeggs, white only

1/4
cups, mashedbananas
1/4
cupfat free milk
1
cupall-purpose flour
1
cupwhole wheat flour
1
teaspoonbaking powder
1/2
teaspoonbaking soda
1/2
teaspoonsalt
1/4
cupsemisweet chocolate baking bits
1/2
cupwheat bran
Steps
Sequence Step
1Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Spray one 9x5 inch loaf pan with a non-stick cooking spray.
2In a large bowl mix dry ingredients.
3In a medium bowl mix wet ingredients.
4Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and mix until moistened.
5Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degree C) for about 60 minutes in a 9x5 pan. Bake time may vary depending on your oven. Bread is done when golden brown and toothpick is inserted into center and comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes in pan and then transfer to wire rack. Eat warm or cool completely and store in refrigerator or wrap tightly in plastic wrap and foil before freezing.
6Variations - You can add nuts, dried fruit, or chocolate chips to this bread, but it will change the calories. Slivered almonds pushed into the top before baking is very good and looks nice for gift giving. Adding a 1/3 cup of milk chocolate chips to the batter is my daughters favorite.
