cup (8 fl oz)water, warm (115 degrees)

stickbutter melted

teaspoongranulated sugar

teaspoonsalt

cupsall-purpose flour

teaspoonbaking soda

Sequence Step
1The evening before:   Sprinkle yeast on warm water in a large mixing bowl and let stand 5 minutes. Add milk, butter, sugar, salt and flour; beat until smooth. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let stand overnight. In a warm climate, refrigerate; at temperatures of about 70 degrees, leave at room temperature.
2When ready to cook waffles: Beat in the eggs and soda. The batter is very thin and most waffle irons will need 1/2 to 3/4 C. batter. Bake in waffle iron; serve immediately.
