| 1 | Mix yeast, warm water, 1/4 c. brown sugar, salt, and flour till smooth. Let rise 1 hour. | 2 | Combine hot water, oil, and 1 c. brown sugar. Add to first mixture. | 3 | Add whole wheat flour and mix. | 4 | Turn out onto surface and knead till smooth and firm. | 5 | Let rise for approximately 45 minutes. Shape and place in pans. | 6 | Let rise again for approximately 45 minutes. | 7 | Bake at 375 F for 40-50 minutes. |
