Steps
Sequence Step
1Set oven to 350, allow to preheat. Line an 8x8 pan with foil, extending foil over the edges. Toss together the oats, 1 c of flour and brown sugar together. Cut in butter with pastry blender till mixture resembles small peas. Remove 2 cup of mixture and set it aside. Press the remaining mixture into bottom of pan. Bake 25 minutes or until nicely browned. Mix sugar and 2T of flour and 1/2 t of ginger in a bowl. Stir in strawberries until well coated. Spread the strawberry mixture over the hot crust. Sprinkle the top evenly with the reserved crust mixture. Bake for 32 minutes or until nicely browned. Remove to wire rick to cool. Sift the powdered sugar into a large bowl. Add the remaining ginger and nectar stirring until well blended. Drizzle the icing over the top of the cool streusel bars before cutting them. Makes 16 bars.
