Steps
Sequence Step
1Place all ingredients in the bread machine with the yeast, sugar, and salt added first. Now add the flours and then 1 cup of very warm water. Start the machine and test the dough. The dough should be dry but should still hold together. Add another teaspoon of water if the dough is too dry. Let the dough complete the kneading cycle, stop the machine and let the dough rest for about 15 minutes. Form into 7 balls, rolling the balls using your palm until the balls are smooth. Now use your thumbs to put a hole in the center of each ball and pull into a bagel shape. Let rest for 15 minutes while putting a pot of water on to boil. Add about 1/8 cup of sugar to the boiling water. Boil each boil for about 1 minute on each side. Drain and transfer to a baking sheet. Brush with egg white and top with various toppings (poppy seed, sesame seed, onion..) Bake at 375 until golden brown.
