| 1 | In a large stock pot heat a stick of butter over medium heat. | 2 | Wash and chop celery, pepper, and onions and throw into butter. Saute for five minutes. | 3 | Cut chicken into bite size pieces throw into pot. Saute for 5 minutes. | 4 | Chop brats into bite-size pieces (I prefer spicy brats)throw into pot and continue cooking for 5 more minutes. | 5 | Add chicken broth - bring to a boil. | 6 | Reduce heat to simmer and allow to cook for 35 minutes. | 7 | Throw in cooked rice. | 8 | Finally add cooked shrimp. Allow to simmer an additional 5 mins. Then serve. |
