Steps
Sequence Step
1Preheat oven to 325 F degrees. Spray one 9x5x3 inch loaf pan with nonstick cooking spray.
2In a medium bowl, beat the white sugar (or sugars) and applesauce until smooth. Beat in the egg substitute, milk, vanilla, and bananas with the sugar mixture until well blended.
3Mix the remaining dry ingredients (cinnamon, nutmeg, flours, baking soda, salt, and baking powder) together until well blended.
4Combine the dry ingredient mixture with the sugar mixture just until the mixture is moistened. Be sure to scrape the sides of the bowl to blend all ingredients.
5Pour batter into prepared loaf pan and bake at 325 F degrees for 40-45 minutes, until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. The top should be firm to the touch and a golden brown color.
6When bread is done and removed from the oven, allow to cool on its side, on a rack, for 10 minutes. Remove from pan and cool completely on a rack.
