Recipe Name

Hot Fudge Pie

Submitted by clean&skinnychef123
Recipe Description You know its a great recipe when the original was written on an index card. He even has pics of his grandma on his site who passed the recipe down. Hot fudge pie. Made with just a few real ingredients. Has the texture of a half-baked brownie with the flavor of chocolate pie.

Ingredients
Amt. Measure Ingredient
1
stickbutter
1
1/2
square (1 oz)chocolate, baking
1
cupsugar
2
largeeggs
1
teaspoonvanilla extract
1/4
cupwheat flour, wholewheat
2
tablespoonsheavy cream
Steps
Sequence Step
1Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
2Butter an eight-inch diameter pie plate or cake pan – use a glass or ceramic, if possible – or use cooking spray
3Melt butter and chocolate (I use a microwave – pretty much just for this task – at 50% power at 30 second intervals, just until the chocolate is almost entirely melted, and then stir). Cool.
4Mix sugar into beaten eggs, combine until sugar is fully incorporated.
5Mix in butter-chocolate mixture until completely blended.
6Add vanilla and milk. Stir well.
7Fold in flour, mixing just until no white streaks remain – do not overbeat.
8Bake for 25 minutes.
9Serve with ice cream for the full upside-down hot fudge pie treatment.
