| 1 | in a shallow bowl, combine all of the ingredients except for the slices of bread. Beat until well mixed in. Dip the slices of bread into the mixture, one at a time, turning to coat both sides. On a lightly oiled, medium skillet over medium heat, fry the bread until lightly browned on both sides. Serve topped with syrup. |
