Steps
Sequence Step
1Heat oven to 400 degrees. Grease cookie sheet with cooking spray.
2Mix 3 cups of flour, 1 2/3 cups of milk, 1 cup of shredded cheese, 4 tablespoons of softened butter, 4 teaspoons of baking powder, 2 teaspoons of sugar, 2 teaspoons of salt into a soft dough in a medium bowl with a fork.
4Roll one half of the dough into a rectangle, 12 inches long and 8 inches wide. Cut the rectangle lengthwise into 1-inch strips. Mak eeach strip narrower by folding it lengthwise in half. Pinch the edges to seal.
5Twist each strip into a pretzel shape and place seam side down on the greased cookie sheet.
6Beat 2 eggs in a small bowl with the fork until the white and yellow are mixed.
7Brush the pretzels with the beaten egg, then sprinkle lightly with table salt.
8Bake in 400 degree oven for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown. Lift with pancake turner to cooling rack.
9Repeat steps 5 through 10 with remaining half of the dough.
