can, 15 oz (303 x 406)tomato sauce, use 15 oz can
Steps
Sequence Step
1Melt one (1) Tablespoon butter in a LARGE skillet. Remove from heat.
2On top of the melted margarine, layer 4 cups (about 1 small head) of cut cabbage; then 1/2 chopped medium onion; then 4 medium potatoes, peeled and sliced 1/8-inch thick.
3Pull chunks from 1 pound uncooked ground chuck (like little meatballs) and dot the meat on top of the cabbage, onion, potato layers. Use all the meat. Salt and pepper to taste.
4Pour one 15-ounce can tomato sauce over everything in the skillet. Cover tightly.
5Cook over medium heat for 30 minutes. Do not open cover while cooking.
