Steps
Sequence Step
1Preheat an oven to 350 degrees F. Use a pan size of your choice, adjust time for baking. Original recipe called for 9x9 square, I didn''t have one so I used a cake pan. Grease lightly.
2Mix all ingredients EXCEPT brown sugar in a bowl.
3Sprinkle brown sugar on top of cake -- you may omit this if you like.
4Bake for 40 minutes or so depending on your pan size. Cake is done when golden brown and firm.
5****** NOTE ****** DO NOT use Fruit Cocktail in heavy syrup. You will find the cake extremely sweet, possibly inedible.
