Steps
Sequence Step
1Preheat oven to 350. Add water to flaxseed meal - let stand a few minutes until it starts to thicken (flaxseed meal replaces eggs) In large bowl, cream together the butter, applesauce, brown sugar, and white sugar. Add vanilla extract and flaxseed meal mixture. Continue beating about 1-2 minutes.
2STir in flour, oats, salt, baking soda and cinnamon. Fold in chopped apple pieces, chocltae chips and walnuts.
3Drop batter by tablespoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheet about 1 1/2 inches apart. Bake for about 14 minutes. Remove from overn and let cookies cool for a minute before transferring them to wire rack to cool completely. Makes 3.5 - 4 dozen cookies.
