1DISSOLVE TWO PACKAGES OF YEAST IN A 1/2 OF WARM WATER IN A LARGE BOWL.
2BEAT IN 2 EGGS AND ADD 1 1/2 CUPS OF MILK MIX AND 3 TSP OF SALT. ADD 4 CUPS OF FLOUR AND BEAT SMOOTH.
3ADD 2 CUPS OF RAISINS AND GRADUALLY ADD 2 3/4 OF FLOUR UNTIL THE DOUGH IS SOFT.
4TURN OUT ON FLOUR BOARD AND KNEED UNTIL SMOOTH AND ELASTIC.
5RETURN TO BOWL COVER AND LET RISE UNTIL DOUBLE. PUNCH DOWN, TURN OUT ON BOARD AND DIVIDE IN HALF.
6ROLL EACH HALF INTO RECTANGLE 14X8 INCH. MELT SHORTENING AND COOL.
7SPREAD WITH 1/2 CUP OF SHORTENING, SPRINKLE WITH CINNAMON AND 1/4 CUP OF SUGAR AND ROLL UP TIGHTLY.THEN FLATTEN ENDS AND FOLD UNDER.
8PUT IN GREASED LOAF PANS. BAKE IN 350 DEGREES IN OVEN FOR 55 MINUTES. LET RISE
9COOL ON WIRE RACK, ICE IF DESIRED.
10BRUSH TOP OF HOT LOAVES WITH BUTTER FOR SOFT CRUST.
