cupspinto beans, canned or 2 cans, NO SALT ADDED

medium (2-1/2" dia)Onion, chopped

clovesgarlic minced

slices rawbacon, cooked, chopped and drained of fat (Applegate, reduced sodium all natural bacon)

cupsReduced Sodium Vegetable broth

cupKetchup (no salt added)

tablespoonchili powder

teaspoonPaprika

teaspoononion powder

tablespoonsplenda, brown sugar
Steps
Sequence Step
1In medium sauce pan add chopped bacon and cook until crisp. Drain excess fat.
2on medium heat,add onion and garlic to pan with bacon. Cook about 5, or until vegetables are tender.
3Drain and rinse pinto beans, add to pan along with vegetable broth and ketchup. Add all spice''s and stir.
4Cover and simmer on low for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
