Recipe Description cream shortening sugar and egg, then add molasses. Mix in dry ingredients. Roll into i inch balls and bake in 350 degree overn ofr 10 minutes.

teaspooncloves, ground
Steps
Sequence Step
1cream shortening and sugar.
2add egg and beat until light and fluffy
3add molasses until mixed well.
4In separate bowl add remaining dry ingredients and blend well
5add dry ingredients to egg mixture and mix well.
6form into 1" balls or use a 1" scoop. Place each ball 2" apart on cookie sheet and flatten. Bake in a 325 degree oven for approx. 10 min or until brown and tops are cracked.
