Steps
Sequence Step
1Preheat oven to 350 F.
2Melt the butter. In a medium-sized bowl, mix together the sugar and the melted butter. Stir in the eggs and vanilla extract. Add the baking powder, flour, cornmeal and salt. Mix everything until everything is moistened. Stir in the milk and mix until almost smooth. A few lumps are fine.
3Lightly grease (2) 10"x15" baking sheets with 1/2" sides. Divide the batter evenly between the 2 baking sheets. Tap the sheets on the counter to even the batter out.
4Bake for 25 minutes. The edges should be brown and pulling away from the sides of the pan and the top should be set. Allow the pan to sit on a cooling rack for about 5-10 minutes. Divide each pan into 8 pieces.
5To serve, toast until browned to your satisfaction
