Sugar Cookies with Maple Icing

3	sticks	butter
1 1/2	cups	sugar
2	large	eggs
4	cups	all-purpose flour
1	teaspoon	cream of tartar
1	teaspoon	baking soda
1	teaspoon	salt
1	teaspoon	vanilla extract

Steps

1	Cream butter and sugar. Add Egss. Beat well. Add in flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, salt, and vanilla. Mix well. Roll out on floured surface and cut with cookie cutters
2	Bake in a 350 oven for 9-11 minutes until edges lightly brown
