1 | Put chickpeas in food processor and process until finely ground |
2 | Add remaining wet ingredients to the chickpeas and process until smooth. |
3 | In a large bowl, mix all the dry ingredients. |
4 | Combine chickpea mixture and dry ingredients and knead until you see plenty of strands. It should be fairly wet but not soupy. |
5 | Spread mixture in a 10 x 15 inch glass baking dish (you can use 9x13, but you may need to bake it a little longer). |
6 | Mix BBQ sauce and 1/4 water in separate bowl. Then spread evenly over the top. Bake at 325 F for 1 1/2 hours. check the middle for doneness with a fork. it should be fairly firm - not mushy. |
