First mix all wet ingredients (mashed bananas, vanilla extract, apple sauce)
Add water sufficient to mix dry ingredients (about 3.5 cups).
Add dry ingredients one by one and continue mixing (baking powder, baking soda, salt, whole wheat flour, all purpose flour) until well blended. Add more water if necessary until you have a pancake batter type consistency
Add oatmeal and craisins last, ensuring that you blend all ingredients well.
Pour into muffin pan.
Bake 25-35 minutes depending on size of muffin pans. (I used jumbo muffin pans which make about 20-22 large muffins)
