Steps
Sequence Step
1combine milk, yeast, and sugar
2add salt, shortening, egg, and 2 cups of the flour
3mix on low speed until ingredients are wet
4increase mixer to medium and mix for 2 min.
5add 2 cups of flour
6mix on medium speed for 2 min.
7add remaining flour, 1/2 cup at a time, and mix until dough is soft, not overly sticky, and not stiff.
8place dough in oiled bowl and flip so oil is on all the dough
9cover with plastic wrap and let rise until doubled in size
10place dough on floured surface, roll out and shape as desired
11place on greased baking pans and cover lighty
12let rise until doubled
13bake at 375 for 15 to 20 min. or until browned
