| 1 | Sort beans and rinse in cold water. Please beans in slow cooker; add 4 cups water. Cover; let stand overnight. | 2 | Drain and rinse beans, discarding liquid. return beans to slow cooker. add bacon. | 3 | In a small bowl, combine the onion, brown sugar molasses, sugar, mustard, salt, cloves, pepper and 2 cups beef broth.
