Recipe Description This recipe was taken from one Rozanne Taylor who lived in Omaha, NE at the time. She titled it the "Best Wheat Bread Ever". It uses whole ground wheat and honey for an amazing loaf of bread that is especially good for toast.

cupHard Red Wheat (freshly milled)

teaspoonyeast, active dry

Steps
Sequence Step
1Mix 1 Cup of Hot water with 1 Tbsp. Yeast and let sit for 10 min.
2In your bread mixer, stir 2 Cups of hot water wit h salt, oil and honey.
3Add 4 Cups whole wheat flour, yeast, and egg. Beat 5 min.
4Add 2 Cups whole wheat flour. Mix Well.
5Add 2-3 more Cups of flour and Knead for 5 min.
6Let Rise until double. Then punch down.
7Divide into 4 medium or 3 large loaves by rolling out 3-4 rectangles. Start at the short end and roll like a jelly-roll. Pinch ends to seal.
8Place in pans and let rise until doubled in pans.
9Bake in preheated 325 degree oven for about 35 minutes.
