Recipe Description I think it's great and it's healthy, I use ground sirloin and ground white meat turkey to cut even ,more fat.

teaspoonsolive oil, extra virgin

cupscorn, canned, drained or frozen, thawed and draine

cupsblack beans

teaspoonsTaco seasoning, McCormick- 1 packet

tablespoonchili powder

tablespoonSpices, ground cumin

teaspooncinnamon, ground
1/2
teaspoon unpackedbrown sugar

cans or bottle (12 fl oz)beer

cancrushed Tomatoes, red, ripe, canned (28 oz)

teaspooncayenne pepper, to taste
Steps
Sequence Step
1Saute onions, garlic, celery in olive oil in a very large pot
2add ground beef, and ground turkey to brown in onion, garlic, celery mixture
3once meat is browned, add taco seasoning, beer, crushed tomato, tomato paste
4drain and rinse beans (you can sub any type of canned beans that you have) add to pot
5add all remaining spices, including cinnamon and brown sugar, add additional spices and salt to taste
6add corn (I use one package of the frozen "southwestern blend" which includes corn, black beans, red and green pepper, and onion)
7bring to a boil, then reduce heat and let simmer for at least 20 minutes.
