Steps
Sequence Step
1Soak kidney beans in water the night before. Drain and rinse and set aside.
2Brown the ground beef thoroghly. Drain and rinse with hot water to remove any fat or grease. Put cooked beef into a large stewing pot.
3Add in onion, celery, green and red peppers and fry on medium heat until they start to soften. Add tomatoes all at once and stir. Add in softened kidney beans. Add spices, stir to combine.
4Simmer for at least one hour uncovered, stirring occasionally. This recipe is tastes best cooked slowly and for a low time. Freezes well in any portion size.
