Steps
Sequence Step
1Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour one 13x9 inch pan or two 8 or 9-inch pans.
2Pour 2 cups of evaporated milk into a measuring cup. Pour in mixing bowl
3Add eggs, sugar, vanilla and butter. Beat on low for 1 minute.
4Sift and measure flour. Add cornmeal, baking powder, salt, and nutmeg. Mix on high speed, scraping bowl frequently, for two minutes.
5Pour into pans. Bake for 40-45 minutes in a 13x9 inch or 35 to 40 minutes in 8 or 9 inch pans until golden brown.
6Bread is ready when a wooden toothpick stuck in the center comes out clean
