Steps

1Original Recipe 1) 1/2 package Trader Joe’s 100% Whole Wheat Pizza Dough 2) 7 oz of lean turkey cold cut 3) 3 boiled eggs, yolks removed 4) 1/2 cup fresh basil 5) 1 cup sun dried tomatoes, chopped
3Preheat the oven to 325 F.
4Let the dough sit out at room temperature for 30 minutes.
5Cut the turkey into small pieces.
6In a medium mixing bowl, crumble the boiled egg whites (remove the yolks). Add the basil, turkey pieces, and sun dried tomatoes. Mix well.
7When the dough is ready, roll out into a square. Place the filling at one end. Roll up, close the sides, and remove any excess dough from the ends
8Bake for about 25-30 minutes. The calzone is ready when the exterior is hard to the touch.
9When finished, allow to sit for 10 minutes. Cut in half and serve warm.
10*If desired, you may prepare on a pre-baked 12” inch 100% whole wheat hoagie roll.
